Overview

Phthonos is an only child, raised in large part by his late mother, Katerina, due to his father's demanding job and long work hours. He looked up to his mother as though she had hung the stars in the sky herself, and was forced to say his last goodbye to her at only 13 years old.Her body was sent home to her family abroad- the funeral would be held there, paid for by his grandparents. While his father left for Domino, Phthonos would stay behind. Left to be raised by his maternal family while Isono found a way to put their lives back together.Phthonos would return home a year later- Isono had a new job, private security for a late warmongers heir, and while they had more money than they'd ever seen before, Phthonos couldn't find it in himself to be happy. The dirt over his mother's grave hadn't had time to settle before he'd been made to grieve the loss of his father- mourning in solitude for an entire year only to come home and be forced to share his estranged father with another boy. And that boy was winning..He started acting out in school and in public, unconsciously seeking the attention of those around him to fill the void left behind by his jealousy.Things only started changing after he met his infant son. He was infatuated immediately- infatuated and terrified. He still considered himself a child at only 17, too young for so much responsibility, and already far too attached to let go.He found himself all too willing to swallow his pride and forget all the things he's grown to resent. He asked his father for help, it was only through him, and the aide of his colleagues that Phthonos was able to provide a stable home for his son and finish high school.He began work immediately after graduation, his first and only job with a run down flower shop. The owners, a sweet elderly couple, were all too pleased to let him bring his infant son in to work.
